[Sunsetting] ODIS v1 (migrating to ODIS v2)

Hello Celo devs :wave:

TLDR

  • We are sunsetting ODIS v1 on alfajores today :city_sunrise:
  • We are discontinuing support for ODIS v1 on mainnet by Wed, Feb 22 :city_sunrise:
  • We are sunsetting ODIS v1 on mainnet by Wed, Mar 1 :city_sunrise:
  • But fear not, ODIS v2 is live and running on alfajores and mainnet since last year :rocket:

We are seeing close to no traffic on ODIS v1, but if you are planning to use ODIS v1 and don’t know how to upgrade to ODIS v2 please contact us via Github Discussions.

Context

Last year, the cLabs eng team successfully launched ODIS 2.0.0. All ODIS signers successfully upgraded and have been getting continuous traffic.

ODIS 2.0.0 is a major refactor that has been nearly a year in the making:

ODIS v1 is sunset :city_sunrise:

Since Wed, Mar 1, ODIS v1 is deprecated.
That means the cLabs engineering team is not monitoring or supporting ODIS v1 anymore.

ODIS v2 is up and running :rocket:

ODIS v2 is live and running on alfajores and mainnet since last year.
This includes the new PNP_SIGN and old LEGACY_PNP_SIGN endpoints.

EOL Announcement

ODIS v2 currently supports the new PNP_SIGN and old LEGACY_PNP_SIGN endpoints.

  • We will discontinue support for the ODIS v2 LEGACY_PNP_SIGN endpoint on alfajores and mainnet by Wed, May 17 :hammer_and_wrench:
  • We will sunset the ODIS v2 LEGACY_PNP_SIGN endpoint on alfajores and mainnet by Wed, May 31 :city_sunrise:
  • But fear not, the ODIS v2 PNP_SIGN endpoint is live and running on alfajores and mainnet since last year :rocket:

We are currently seeing no traffic on the ODIS v2 LEGACY_PNP_SIGN endpoint, but if you are planning to use this endpoint and don’t know how to upgrade to the ODIS v2 PNP_SIGN endpoint please contact us via Github Discussions
