Hi!
My name is Deana Burke and I am the Circle Lead for the MarComm Circle Circle. As part of Season 13 Planning, I would like to share details about our plans for the upcoming season.
With this post, our goal is to introduce more transparency into the work we’re doing at the Celo Foundation as well as ask for your feedback on the plan and activities listed below.
Working Group Purpose
Drive top of funnel awareness of Celo as a thriving, credible and real world results-oriented blockchain ecosystem.
Primarily focusing on net-new entrants to the Celo community, particularly with potential Enterprise partners
Our overall goal is to make Celo a top-5 brand amongst blockchains by investing in new audience growth and ensuring that the funnels are well nurtured.
A view of the last season
- Key Achievements:
- Successful launch of the Celo Rebrand (#CeloEvolution), which included a reimagined logo, branding, and messaging.
- The new look debuted on a refreshed website alongside partner launches and awareness campaigns aimed at mainstream adoption of Web3 for everyday users around the world.
- Twitter Metrics: 554k Impressions, 24k Engagements, and 82k Video Views
- Drive net-new entrants into the Celo ecosystem through events, activations & sponsorships
- EthDenver. Highlights included:
- Our claw machine at Schelling Point generated a ton of buzz & engagement - with opportunities for people to win a Ledger Nano X (safety first!)
- Marek’s Schelling Point talk on FiatConnect as a social good
- Mellow Celo Hang provided a space for the community to gather
- A day of Climate focused panels at Climate Summit
- Celo 2.0 Roadmap at Carbon Path’s IMPACT ReFi Conversation
- Africa Tech Summit
- Presence from our Regional team as well as Social. Aliu gave a talk on “The Road Ahead for Crypto in Africa”
- Post received 43 comments from the community highlighting projects in Africa to watch, giving additional visibility to the ecosystem

- EthDenver. Highlights included:
- Raise awareness through T1 media with a mainstream (Biz & Ent) & technical audience in mind measured by UVM
- 10 quality pieces of active coverage of the Celo ecosystem in T1 media
- Successful launch of the Celo Rebrand (#CeloEvolution), which included a reimagined logo, branding, and messaging.
- Some missed opportunities or pushed goals:
- Launch Developer-focused newsletter
- Pushed to better align with our hackathon schedule

Goals for the upcoming Season 13
Our core goals for Season 13 remain largely the same:
- Drive net-new entrants to the Celo community, particularly with potential Enterprise partners & our Developer community
- Raise awareness through T1 media with a mainstream (Biz & Ent) & technical audience in mind
- Continue to optimize our Digital Marketing channels to drive top of funnel awareness
- Invest in process & analytics infrastructure that allows us to operate more efficiently at scale & level-up our metrics-driven approach
