5. Summary
This project proposes allocating a budget of 22,100 cUSD to KohCelo (Celo Thailand DAO) from August 25, 2024, to November 30, 2024. The main objectives include enhancing Celo’s publicity at Devcon 2024 to increase recognition, support and facilitating a side event for Celo during the upcoming Devcon by collaborating with various groups, establishing Thailand as a local point for CELO in Southeast Asia (ASEAN), enhancing Celo’s image nationwide in Thailand, and strengthening relationships within the crypto community.
The strategy focuses on increasing understanding and awareness of the importance of Web3 in Thailand, particularly about Celo.
Our Primary Focuses:
- Engaging and supporting the Celo Ecosystem and Partnership: Collaborating with key figures in the Celo Ecosystem and potential partners to boost Celo awareness and activities within the Celo community and Thai local projects.
- Educational and Content Localization: Develop localization content and educational resources about the Celo Blockchain to boost awareness and drive greater engagement with Celo.
- Supporting An Event During Devcon: Help facilitate, promote, and support Celo-related activities during Devcon 7 Southeast Asia.
6. Motivation: The Unparalleled Opportunity Southeast Asia for Celo in Thailand
6.1 Introduction
Again, we would like to thank Florian Hugenberg @Frerehugi for recommending KohCelo, which integrates Celo’s innovative spirit with the serene beauty of Thai islands. Florian, a respected member of Celo’s global community from Germany, highlighted the international recognition of “Koh” in Thailand’s context, likening it to renowned destinations such as Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. This name reflects our commitment to creating a robust and sustainable financial ecosystem inspired by Thailand’s tranquil landscapes and the seamless integration of nature and technology.
In this rapidly growing digital age, blockchain technology and digital currencies (cryptocurrencies) are pivotal in transforming global financial and economic systems. For several reasons, Thailand holds significant potential for developing blockchain technology and digital currencies.
