As we continue to support the growth and development of our carbon-negative, mobile-first, layer-1 Celo platform. In collaboration with the GDSC UON Chapter, Celo Kenya brought the Celo mantra of Prosperity for Everyone to the University of Nairobi in order to democratise Web3 knowledge among the students there and disrupt the Web3 Space. We deep dived on Celo’s mission and values, what we are trying to accomplish in the ecosystem, and how the students can get involved in different capacities. It is a type of distributed open-source software application that runs on a peer-to-peer blockchain network. The use of blockchain in dApps allows them to process data through distributed networks and execute transactions. CodeJams
The weekend saw a gathering of the Celo Kenya CodeJam community to expand on the DeFi 2.0 theme. Amazing product demonstrations from teams, as well as community assistance for the Build with Celo Hackathon projects, were provided. By using Celo Integrations, the developers demonstrated their end-to-end Defi platform creativity. Throughout the session, we displayed about six products in total.
