Valora Updates - wind of corporate change

Hi, just thought I throw out a good intentioned feedback out there since I‘ve ben using the app for around 2 years now :slightly_smiling_face:

So what changed?

it all started for free, now each transaction: celo to usdt, usdt to cdollar, just all of them cost. Rewards changed to useless- feel happy points (which also is kind of insulting and probably could be labelled as a corporate manipulation technique). #dontgivemewhatIdontneed

I am definitely for paying some fees, but I personally think that should not include every transaction. It kind of runs against the idea of crypto being cost free/ efficient- as compared to banks. So now I don’t pay the banks, but I do pay Valora. Again- a middleman, same job different name?

I hope Valora won’t continue this way otherwise I don’t think I‘ll continue to use it.

Thanks for the feedback here. Over the years, Valora has kept the original ethos (shared w/ Celo) of maintaining extremely low transaction fees for users (and intends to continue to do so). As for other advanced actions, like swapping, fees are commonplace across wallets and blockchains, and we have good intentions in our actions to build a sustainable business for Valora by experimenting in this way.

If you’d like to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Our team is always striving to improve the experience for users like yourself, so I am happy to listen and discuss.
