:wave: Introduction

I’m a passionate about governance and its usage IRL. I hold a double master degree with Magna Cum Laude in eGovernance and Public Sector Innovation by two of top 100 universities.
I was chosen by the Botín Foundation as one of the 40 most oustanding LatinAmerican young people, which allowed me to be trained by former LatAm presidents, euro-deputees, and world-class professionals with the goal of one day becoming a civic servant.

I’ve got 8 years of practical experience using web3 tech and about 12 years of IRL entrepreneurship that always included community ownership and participatory democracy experiments. I’ve given workshops and conferences about eGovernance, Community building, and Urban Regeneration in Europe, LatAm, and Asia.

I’d like to put my experience, skills, and perspectives to the service of Celo. I find Celo’s unique mobile-first, multi-native stablecoins, and ReFi focus to be the success elements to build a new internet where changemakers thrive and help us all realize a world of shared prosperity.

:dart: As a Delegate, my agenda is the following:

  • Bridging Web3 to real life. Tech that is focused on geeks or bubble users is not on my interest. As a delegate I’ll push current conversations, meetups, and growth metrics to aim for solving real-world problems as a way to bring in adoption and positioning.
  • Retail adoption. For our builders to thrive we need them to be able to use Celo and its native stablecoins as their default way for everyday payment, only then they will be able to help their dApp and protocol users to benefit from Celo.
  • Plurality. People from all the Global Majority (GM) including Indigenous and Mestizos should be part of the conversation, should be building dApps, protocols, and participating in the governance of Celo and the technologies shaping our world. I’ll be focusing my attention in supporting initiatives that evidence a genuine onboarding of builders, makers, philosophers, professors, scientists, activists, and community leaders.
  • IRL regeneration and regional DAOs. I am all in for facilitating the emergence of cities as DAOs. Cities should be using a blockchain which usage ensures the funding of shared prosperity for all. I’ll support and push the conversation on ensuring that every fund distributed in grants get us closer to reaching better worlds.
  • Digital rights and privacy-protection technologies. Many activists worldwide are targeted and eliminated because they don’t use or know how to employ digital privacy protection tools/practices. I will support initiatives that enable Celo and its ecosystem to embed privacy-protection by default.
  • Real-World Assets (RWA), Decentralized Public and Physical Infrastructure (DePIN), and Decentralized Science (DeSci). I will support initiatives and push the current conversations to employing these approaches for solving real-world challenges.
  • Strengthening the presence of Celo in Latin America and the GM. Through the SolarPunk Bus I’ll be supporting the adoption of Valora, native stablecoins, Celo ecosystem’s tools, as well as the onboarding of GM’s changemakers.

In summary, if you hold Celo and you’ll like to see Celo as the internet infrastructure of your city and community, then delegate it to me.

Governance approach

I’ll open an exclusive channel for all the delegators to access to suggest, comment, and vote on the topics I will be voting for.
I’ll be using this thread to post about each decision taken and the reasoning behind it.
When I reach a top 10 delegate position I’ll stop deciding by myself and instead I’ll vote as my delegators decide through a quadratic voting mechanism. No matter what, the criteria for decision-making will be the above-mentioned ageda.
