Yes, December can be a slower month, especially with holidays and reduced availability across many sectors.
Incubator program extension is the major change we have made. Given the success of the initial cohort and the focus on building momentum with projects like Pretium Finance, Esusu, and AjiraPay Finance, extending the incubator program into Q1 2025 might be a strategic move. It would allow us to scout for top founders increasing the quality of the projects we support and forward to Celo Camp. The later stages of incubation (Demo Day, MVP completion) could align better with a more focused and active period. This would also give the program more time to attract top talent and potentially build stronger partnerships.
For this reason, we have adjusted the budget request downwards to be more aligned with the realities of the CPG and the community.
