[DRAFT] Celo Mexico H2 2024 | Regional DAO

Proposal Type: CPG Funding Request H2 | Regional DAO

Authors: @GerryAlvrz , @OzKar

Aligned Public Goods Bucket: Regional DAO

Funding request: $21,000 USD

After receiving feedback, we are excited to present a redefined version of our initial Celo Mexico proposal with a reduced scope of activities and 67.19% budget reduction. This revised proposal includes a detailed outline of our 3 months activities to activate Celo Mexico. Our introduction highlights on how we plan to grow Celo Mexico in a coordinated manner with Celatam, ensuring there is no overlap in the region. This collaboration aims to leverage synergies, maximize impact, and effectively drive Celo’s adoption and presence throughout Mexico.

Summary:

This proposal aims to establish a strong presence for Celo in Mexico by focusing on community engagement, event sponsorships, and strategic alliances. Our initial phase, Season 0 (S0), targets growing Celo’s visibility and adoption through key events such as Ethereum Mexico, social media campaigns, and content/storytelling. Following @LuukDAO advice, we provide a detailed version of our long-term vision available in the comment section of this thread, to avoid confusion and posting a long proposal.

Motivation:

Mexico presents a diverse landscape for crypto adoption, with significant potential for growth across different regions. By leveraging our established community presence and strategic partnerships, we aim to drive financial inclusion and innovation throughout the country. Past initiatives have demonstrated our ability to engage with tech-savvy youth and the unbanked population, making Celo Mexico a key player in Mexico’s crypto landscape. Our mission is to train and prepare the next generation of Celo builders (devs and entrepreneurs) in Mexico, while pushing on-chain transactions. This sets the foundation to align and complement Celatam’s initiatives, including the Venture Studio, Theory of Change, and Universal Builders Income programs.

Metrics and KPIs:

  • Website Development: Launch the official CELO Mexico website to serve as a central hub for information and resources in spanish.
  • Follower Growth: Increase social media followers by 200% by our next report.
  • Engagement Metrics: Achieve 1,000+ engagements and 10,000+ impressions across social media platforms.
  • Website Traffic: Increase traffic to the CELO website by 100% during the event month.
  • Logo Impressions: Achieve 20,000+ impressions on the event website and digital materials.
  • On-site Engagement: Content creation - Live-tweet, post updates, and share stories (photos and videos) on platforms like Twitter, Farcaster, Instagram, and LinkedIn to maximize visibility during the event.

Specification:

Introduction to the Mexican Landscape

Overview of Crypto Adoption in Mexico

1. Mexico’s Demographics and Financial Landscape:

2. General Crypto Adoption in Mexico:

3. Regional Breakdown of Crypto Adoption:

  • Major Cities:
    • Mexico City: As the capital and largest city, Mexico City is a central hub for crypto activities, with numerous startups and businesses accepting cryptocurrencies. 9,209,944 people live in the city and around 21 million in the metropolitan area.
    • Guadalajara: Known as Mexico’s tech hub, Guadalajara has a growing interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, hosting various tech and crypto events. 5,268,642 people live in the city.
    • Monterrey: Another significant city with a strong business and industrial presence, showing increasing engagement in crypto adoption. 5,341,171 people live in the city.
  • Rural and Smaller Cities:
    • Smaller Cities: Cities like Puebla, Mérida, and León are gradually seeing more interest in cryptocurrencies, often driven by local meetups and educational initiatives.
    • Rural Areas: Crypto adoption is slower in rural areas due to limited internet access and lower financial literacy. However, initiatives targeting financial inclusion through mobile crypto solutions have significant potential here.

4. Exploring Universities and Tech Students:

  • University Presence: Mexico has numerous universities with strong tech programs, such as the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Tecnológico de Monterrey, and Universidad Panamericana.
  • Student Population: These universities collectively educate hundreds of thousands of students, many of whom are enrolled in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs.
  • Tech Interest: Engaging with these universities through workshops, hackathons, and partnerships can tap into a large pool of tech-savvy students who are potential early adopters and advocates for CELO.

5. Opportunities for CELO:

  • Financial Inclusion: With a large unbanked population, CELO’s mobile-first approach and stablecoins can provide accessible financial services to those without traditional banking, enabling broader financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
  • Youth Engagement: Targeting the young, tech-savvy population through educational campaigns and university partnerships can drive further adoption and cultivate a new generation of Celo builders. Workshops and hackathons will provide hands-on experience with Celo’s technology.
  • Training and Development: By focusing on training and preparing individuals and users, we can create a pipeline of potential builders on Celo. This involves conducting workshops, providing resources, and creating educational content that equips users with the necessary skills to develop on the Celo platform.
  • Regional Events: Organizing and participating in crypto events across various regions, from major cities to smaller towns, will enhance CELO’s visibility and adoption. These events will include training sessions and workshops aimed at building a skilled community of developers and entrepreneurs.
  • Strategic Alliances: Collaborating with big companies in Mexico, we aim to introduce CELO and cPeso to a large user base. Platforms like Bitso, which currently offers over 51 cryptocurrencies, could onboard Celo, significantly expanding its reach. Other platforms such as BlockPay are also potential collaborators.
  • Business Relationships: Establishing a dedicated Mexican Investor Network will provide Celo builders with access to a broader pool of potential investors who understand and support ReFi and Public Goods initiatives. This network will include high-net-worth individuals, hedge funds, venture funds, and multinational corporations, many of which are committed to being Socially Responsible Companies.
  • Conclusion: Mexico presents a diverse landscape for crypto adoption with significant growth potential. By leveraging targeted strategies to engage the unbanked population and the youth, particularly through educational institutions, CELO can expand its presence and drive meaningful adoption throughout the country. This approach will ensure that CELO reaches major urban centers and the broader Mexican market, fostering financial inclusion, innovation, and a well-prepared community of builders ready to contribute to the Celo ecosystem. This coordinated effort will align with Celatam’s initiatives, enhancing the overall impact and creating a synergistic movement across the region.

Current Status:

The Celo Mexico Regional DAO is a new initiative. However, we have laid the groundwork through previous community engagements and events like those hosted by MotusDAO and ReFi Mexico.

Timeline:

  • August 2024: Preparation for Ethereum Mexico, including website development, merchandise production, and forming strategic alliances.
  • September 2024: Participation in Ethereum Mexico with a focus on community engagement, and launching a comprehensive awareness campaign.
  • October 2024: Continue social media campaigns for Follow-up from the event to maintain momentum, share media created by the October events and prepare report.

Milestones:

Ethereum Mexico Event Sponsorship

Ethereum Mexico is a significant event in the region’s crypto landscape, drawing considerable attention and participation. For instance, the 2023 event was slated to attract more than 800 attendees. This large-scale event was designed to foster education and innovation within the Ethereum community, indicating its importance and the high level of engagement it generates (CoW DAO) (Arbitrum).

Sponsorship Deck

Strategic Event Planning for CEL2 in Mexico

Given the scale and impact of Ethereum Mexico it’s an excellent opportunity for CELO to establish its presence and engage with a broad audience by sponsoring a Flamingo Tier ($8,000USD). Participating in such a prominent event can significantly boost CEL2’s visibility and attract potential users and developers, while establishing Celo Mexico presence along other main L2s. Here’s a breakdown of how we can leverage this event:

  1. Presence at Ethereum Mexico:
    • Swag Materials: Set up a CELO’s SWAG to engage with attendees, distribute promotional materials to showcase CELO’s solutions in Spanish.
    • Awareness Campaign: Conduct a targeted campaign leading up to and during the event to maximize impact.
    • On-site Engagement: Live-tweet, post updates, and share stories on platforms like Twitter, Farcaster, Instagram, and LinkedIn to maximize visibility during the event.

Flamingo Tier Sponsorship:

We strongly believe that sponsoring a Flamingo Tier will bring a relevant impact to Celo Mexico as it provides multiple benefits that can be used for growth hacking.

  • 5 Tickets for your community: these tickets can be raffled in a twitter dynamic, looking to increase followers and impressions.
  • Logo and link to your Website on event Website: Increase website visits to Celomexico.org and provide insightful content about how to start building in Celo.
  • Logo on all digital & printed materials: Brings brand awareness IRL and online.
  • Social Media announcements including an explanation of your project and CTA: This helps us to max out our reach as a launch campaign.
  • Access to the VIP lounge (# passes): Utilize 100% of VIP passes for networking opportunities.
  • Add Item to the Attendees’ Swag Bag (# pieces provided by each sponsor): 2 items for Flamingo Tier, design merch and fabrication logistics.
  • Receive and store your company’s swag: Design special edition merch as scarce items for this launch campaign.
  • Opening Ceremony Feature: Use the special mention to draw attention to Celo Mexico and its Spanish website for real-world solutions in crypto.
  • Talk (In person and Streaming): Shill CEL2, Celo Mexico and solutions built on Celo with a clear CTA for our website (create a dynamic).
  • Customized post-event report with high-level insights about attendees and your project: Use help of these resources Eth Mexico is creating for their sponsors.
  • Streaming on X and Youtube to learn about your project prior or after Ethereum México 2024: Talk about Celo moving into a L2, and how we can leverage impact with Celo, while promoting real use case in crypto.

Hi @celomexico

Thanks for writing a Regional DAO Draft - and welcome to the Celo ecosystem!

Before moving to a vote, you’ll need at least two Celo PG stewards to signal readiness to move the proposal forward. The proposal must also have been on the forum for at least seven days. All process details can be viewed in the CeloPG Hub.

My initial feedback

  • I want to compliment you on the completeness of your proposal. The scope and details are good.
  • I’m unsure yet if and how Celo Mexico can live alongside Celatam. While they might have some overlap in focus, I think your specific focus on Mexico is different enough from Celatam to continue iterating on your proposal.
  • I see clear value in Mexico’s regional importance and potential. I’m also interested that you have a long-term idea for Celo Mexico.

My main reservation is the size of the budget asked, especially given that this is your first proposal to Celo. Would it be possible to slim down the proposal on all fronts? Some suggestions:

  1. Reduce the scope of DAO Ops so the budget can go down significantly (looking at more like 20-30% of what you have now),
  2. Reduce the sponsorship slot size for Eth MX or Tulum Crypto Fest. I can even imagine only sponsoring one of the two (whichever you see as higher impact) and just representing and maybe hosting a smaller (and cheaper) networking side event at, for example, Tulum Crypto Fest.
  3. The travel and misc budget seems high. Are you currently not in Mexico, and will you have to fly in from abroad?
  4. I would not do the Builderthon now and mainly focus on supporting Eth Mexico.

I hope you’re able to iterate on the proposal. It’s better to start small and overdeliver than to rush things!

Finally, it’s also possible to apply for the Regen Coorindation Gitcoin Grants program as a Celo Regional DAO - to get started with that read this announcement and register your DAO here.

Great to have you here, I’m one of the CeloPG Stewards.

The Mexican crypto market has been very kind to me, personally, and Talent Protocol too, so definitely a geography I’m bullish on, and that I personally believe Celo must have a strong footprint :mexico:

As @LuukDAO mentioned… you overlap a bit (a lot?) w/ CeLatam mandate. Also, size of your ask is far from ideal, and I have many concerns re DAO Ops relevance… In reality, this is more of a project, not really a DAO…

My advice: massively reduce scope and budget.

Hi all. Oscar here, happy to contribute with my expertise on this proposal in order to grow @celomexico with Gerardo Alvarez @motusdao :raised_hands:t4:

Thank you @LuukDAO for your constructive fedback.
Your comments are appreciated and make a lot of sense, we can have more impact and reduce the costs at the same time for example with a Beach Clean up during Tulum Crypto Fest. As well an activation during ETH Mexico and maybe co-hosts with OP for example in order to reduce costs. With both we would create Proof of Impact NFT and distribute them to the assistants. We would like to ask for the stage to make the official announcement of CELO Mexico. The previous year ETH Mexico delegated the organization of ReFi segment to us and we delivered great message, community growth and audience engagement. I agree to focus on ETH Mexico, and add the side-event to the official list of events of ETH Mexico.

I agree we do not have to be the sponsors, in that case cLabs or CF could be sponsors to the event directly. If there is a Hackathon CELO can run a track for Plumo, MiniPay SDKs. We can support technical leads to arrive and do on-side translations.

Another ideation/proposals from my side are:

  • Weekly online events like why CELO is a different blockchain.
  • Translate documentation and content to spanish, mantianing the Celo Mexico up to date.
  • Give a domestic and tailored message in spanish from Mexico, according to their lifestyle, traditions, roots, “slangs” to personalize the content.
  • Co-host side events and activations with other superchain protocols.
  • Workshops on RPG on Celo via Gitcoin, and how to participate
  • Online explanation of the DApps on Celo with live demo and POAP-NFT to assistants.
  • Co-host X spaces with Celo Incuba, Celo LaTam, Startup Pathway, Climate Collecive.
  • Bootcamps for Devs, for them to learn about MiniPay, Plumo, ZK Proofs, Stable Coins and the open source SDKs on Celo.
  • Impact-entrepreneur online and offline meetups.
  • Work with incubators, accelerators.
  • Gather and register impact-entrepreneurs
  • Onboarding campaing using Valora or Celo Network to send NFT-POAPs, CEL or GloDollar to give a real UX.
  • A portable Plug and Play mini stand that we can take to the 10+ univerisites we are in contact, we can take it to events, meetups,
  • Introduction of Celo to the 10+ Builders communitis in Mexico
  • 1 monthly IRL meetup
  • Carbon neutral or carbon positive merch
  • Online and Offile tech magazins, TV shows, Radio shows.
  • Multi-sig wallet management with pre-approval consensus

For Stewards, I would like to call those who I have worked before or met IRL like Marcelo Silva, Emiliano Gutierrez from RAIZ (if he is stewart), Alejandra Pacheco (as we already organized an event together before in Mexico City), Sussane former CMO at Impact Market (who I met in Lisboa), and Robert Schmitt. People who knows the trayectory of the team confirming this proposal.

Obrigado 🫶🏽🌱 you are totally right. All major protocols and layers have someone in the ground, and actively representing either a L1, L2 or protocols domestically.

And w are friends and connected with all of them: Brave, Optimism, Base, StarkNet, Axelar, Polkadot, Ethereum Mexico, Arbitrum, Nouns, Avalanche, Algorand, The Graph, ICP, Solana, BoB chain, Vara, NYM, and more.

We have a paved ground in Mexico to enter and do activations. Mexico has a environmental ancient cultural background by default and the entrepreneurial community focusing on climate chang, energy, permaculture, organic initiatives, anti-pollution products and services, social impact continue growing. And indeed we do have a database to work with.

This is great moment to introduct CELO spcially when it is heading to CEL2 mainnet, and Ethereum Mexico.

I consider imporant to give the message in a domestic way. About Celo LatAm, we are in our city in our domestic ground. With the expertise of Gerry, who has been doing Solar Punks events for the last yearrs, his network of highly prepared entreperneurs, together we form a strong netwok to engage with.

If w talk about developers we do have a database of programming workshops, communities, bootcamps to access to.

We are sure we are a strong ally to Celo LatAm, ReFi, CEL2.

It’s great to hear you’re open to feedback and iterations. While I think your ideas could be valuable, I want to reiterate that it’s better to start with less and overdeliver instead of adding more things to the current proposal.

Indeed. It is better the over deliver formula, instead of the opposite. Personally, I just plasm my knowledge and intentions for the growth of Celo in Mexico. The written ideas/proposals can serve to other regions to implement. It is a way to express our keen intention to see CELO to grow, as it represents the “regen” chain.

Hello @LuukDAO

Thanks for the comments and the feedback, much appreciated. We will be updating the proposal soon.

Regarding the initial feedback

  • We studied Celatam’s Season report 0, understanding their focus and roadmap, we plan to enhance broader CeLatam efforts by addressing unique local challenges and opportunities in the Mexican context with a Regional DAO specifically focused on Mexico as it is a big region with multiple fronts to cover. As a proof of this, we texted Marcelo beforehand, seeking to align initiatives in a coordinated way with Celatam, and him accepting to become our advisor, ensuring no overlap between Celo Mexico and Celatam.
  • Our past initiatives as community builders and Regen leaders in the Mexican cryptospace set a unique tone for representing Celo in the Mexico region, as we have penetrated ground with previous initiatives, such as MotusDAO in collab with ReFi Mexico, while focusing on Real World builders, regens, and dev communities. Our previous work with ReFi Mexico also involves traveling different parts of Mexico to onboard farmers and other key stakeholders for the regeneration frameworks looking to create a bigger network. Not only that, but also hosting successful meet ups, attracting multiple builders and developers within the Web 3.0 space, this being the beginning of a ReFi initiative hub in Mexico. We can leverage all these previous work, to enhance the growth of the regen community and Foster new initiatives not being covered by Celatam, as Mexico is a big country with millions of people for us to distribute coordinated efforts.

Comments on the budget

  • Yes we can reduce the budget, because the budget is strictly correlated to the scope of the proposal.
  • The proposed traveling budget is set for a team of three persons, meant to represent Celo, record videos, take pictures, live content, engage with attendees and help with the logistics of the events (since we were planning a Buildathon). This includes transportation, flights, food and misc.
  • We kindly accept supporting Eth Mexico instead of focusing on time consuming efforts to host a Buildathon in a one month timeframe.

We will sure apply to participate on the Regen Coordination Gitcoin Grants.

GM @pcbo

I’m glad Mexico treated you the right way :mexico:, and I’m also bullish on Celo in Mexican region, as there are many things to be done :mechanical_arm:

As I mentioned on the previous comment, we have studied Celatam’s Season report 0, understanding their focus and roadmap. Our plan is to enhance CeLatam efforts by addressing unique local challenges and opportunities in the Mexican context with a Regional DAO specifically focused on Mexico as it is a big region with multiple fronts to cover. As a proof of this, we texted Marcelo beforehand, seeking to align initiatives in a coordinated way with Celatam, and him accepting to become our advisor, ensuring no overlap between Celo Mexico and Celatam.

We agree to reduce the budget, since the budget is strictly correlated to the scope of the proposal. Aiming to reduce it 20-30% from the overall budget (unable to tell a hard number as we are currently drafting the redefined proposal, but will be available soon).

We followed the hub.celo.eco guidelines to establish our project design, as they provide an extensive guide for the Celo DAO tooling used for public goods and governance. Not only that, we also established a bigger roadmap of 4 seasons as we grow the Regional DAO by proven milestones, ensuring transparent and traceable governance, proving this proposal to be the foundation of the DAO.

We happily will update the proposal with a reduced budget-scope.

GM! @LuukDAO and @pcbo

As indicated, we have edited our proposal with the revised plan.

In response to the feedback from the stewards, we’ve revised our Celo Mexico proposal to focus primarily on running a comprehensive campaign around Ethereum Mexico, which has led to a more streamlined and targeted approach. Here are the key changes and adjustments made:

1. Budget Reduction:

  • Old Budget: $64,000 USD
  • New Budget: $21,000 USD
  • Details: We have reduced the budget by 67.19%, eliminating the buildathon project and the sponsorship and travel expenses for TulumCryptoFest, while retaining major initiatives to effectively grow our community.

2. Focus on Ethereum Mexico:

  • Primary Event: Ethereum Mexico is now the main event we are focusing on for sponsorship and community engagement.
  • Flamingo Tier Sponsorship: The proposal now includes a detailed plan for leveraging the Flamingo Tier sponsorship at Ethereum Mexico to maximize visibility and engagement.

3. Streamlined Activities:

  • Social Media Campaigns: Emphasis on launching and maintaining strong social media campaigns before, during, and after Ethereum Mexico.
  • Website development: Website presence for spanish resources.

4. Updated Key Objectives:

  • Awareness and Engagement: Focused on increasing social media followers by 200% and achieving significant engagement metrics.
  • Content Production: High-quality resources in Spanish to welcome new Celo builders, with event coverage and storytelling.
  • Strategic Alliances: Form partnerships with other Layer 2 solutions and relevant organizations to enhance visibility and adoption, while bringing awareness into the ecosystem.

These revisions make the proposal more focused, actionable, and aligned with the stewards’ feedback, ensuring that our efforts are concentrated on high-impact activities around Ethereum Mexico. The streamlined approach is designed to maximize visibility, engagement, and adoption of Celo in Mexico, setting a solid foundation for future growth and expansion.

  • Celo Mexico’s long-term Roadmap:

We will divide a roadmap for Celo Mexico into 4 seasons, starting from Season 0 (S0) so it is easy to grasp our full vision. We will explain each phase.

S0: Community Engagement and DAO Foundation: Celo has a strong presence within the Layer 2 ecosystem, nevertheless, we have identified on ground opportunities to grow a stronger presence, by connecting with specific communities and bringing brand awareness in the region.

    • Engage local communities through meetups and online events.
    • Sponsor and participate in Ethereum Mexico.
    • Develop a comprehensive social media strategy to increase awareness and engagement.
    • Establish a dedicated Celo Mexico website to serve as an information hub

This season aims to increase awareness and engagement for CEL2 arrival and solutions built on Celo (Valora, Mini-pay, Plumo, Impact Market, Glo Dollar, etc) with the Mexican crypto and regen community, while building the DAO foundation (Recruit a core team to manage operations and community engagement on a long term).

S1: Onboarding and Initial Events (universities, Buildathons and more):

    • Conduct workshops and training sessions at universities and other regen spaces (like Huerto Roma Verde) to introduce students and new users to Celo.
    • Organize Real World Buildathons competitions to attract developers and entrepreneurs.
    • Launch initiatives to onboard users onto the Celo Incuba (Celatam’s current incubation program), emphasizing on their Theory of Change and Universal Builders Income.
    • Develop educational resources and materials to support new users and developers.

This season aims to leverage the robust network we have established with our past initiatives in universities, regen spaces and crypto communities. This means to cover multiple universities (plug and play stand), create educational content in spanish, provide guidance for devs and entrepreneurs and get them ready for Celo Incuba as they (Celatam) prepare their new venture studio. This also means we look to Increase numbers of Celo users and developers in Mexico while creating a Stronger community engagement through educational initiatives and events.

S2: Business Development and Investor Relations (B2B, Gov. and more)

    • Develop partnerships with local businesses and startups to integrate and promote Celo solutions (Bitso and Blockpay for example).
    • Create and distribute key educational resources on the Celo Ecosystem, ReFi, and Public Goods to investors.
    • Form strategic partnerships with financial institutions, venture funds, goverment and top tech companies to integrate Celo as a solution.
    • Leverage the Celo Community Treasury to support local builders and attract liquidity and capital to Celo projects.
    • This paves the way for creating cPeso, as we proof adoption before the launch.

This season’s efforts aims to expand the reach of Celo into a larger a broader specter of the Mexican market and onboarding, while also contributing to the PARTNERSHIPS & ACTIVATIONS Celatam is looking to establish as they seek to Create new opportunities to test, mature, and grow ventures through partnerships between relevant community stakeholders. If this turns out to be succesful, we will enhance business development opportunities for Celo in Mexico, develop strong network of investors supporting Celo projects and increase financial support and resources for local builders.

S3: Expansion and Large-Scale Events (Establish new community nodes in different regions of Mexico along local funding mechanisms to incubate on Celo).

    • Organize large-scale events and conferences to showcase Celo’s impact and projects.

    • Establish community nodes in key regions to foster decentralized growth.

    • Develop and implement local funding mechanisms to support new projects and initiatives.

    • Continue to build strategic alliances and partnerships to expand Celo’s reach.

    • Showcase the community behind Celo Mexico and the need for a local stablecoin based on the Mexican Peso.

    • Expected Outcomes:

      • Robust presence of Celo in multiple regions across Mexico.
      • Sustained growth through decentralized community nodes and local funding.
      • Increased visibility and adoption of Celo solutions nationwide.
      • Market reasearch for the adoption of the cPeso

We studied Celatam’s Season report 0, understanding their focus and roadmap, we plan to enhance broader CeLatam efforts by addressing unique local challenges and opportunities in the Mexican context with a Regional DAO specifically focused on Mexico as it is a big region with multiple fronts to cover, seeking to align initiatives in a coordinate way with Celatam, while using the network we have created with previous initiatives, that will leverage Celo Mexican Community.
With this being said, we aim to bring a unique focus to develop Celo in Mexico’s broad region with a unique and valuable long term vision. We can say we create full educational content for real world builders (devs and entrepreneurs), while paving the way for strong applications for Celo Incuba, helping attract new investors to the ecosystem, and focusing on on-chain transacions. (posted this here, because the forum didn’t allow to submit the original lenght).

Although the timing of my review might be past the decision point for this specific proposal, I’m sharing my thoughts in the spirit of providing helpful feedback for upcoming proposals.

Thank you for submitting this revised proposal @celomexico. It provides much-needed clarity and addresses key elements that were initially missing. I particularly like how you’ve outlined the potential for Celo’s growth in Mexico and developed a strategy to leverage this high-potential region.

I’m excited about your plans for local partnerships and impact onboarding. While I understand that not every detail can be covered in this initial proposal, I look forward to seeing more specific strategies in your future submissions. Additionally, I’d be happy to assist in developing metrics to measure engagement and impact from these local initiatives. Creating clear, quantifiable indicators of success could greatly enhance the effectiveness of your efforts and is much needed.

Regarding Ethereum Mexico: I’m excited about your plans to engage with Ethereum Mexico. As one of the strongest regional communities, this collaboration could significantly boost Celo’s presence. I recommend reaching out to @LauNaMu, a core member, for additional insights if needed. While I appreciate the focus on Celo’s presence at the event, I’d like to see more specific details on how you plan to create ongoing collaboration opportunities with Ethereum Mexico. Developing a 6-month strategy to capitalize on this sponsorship would be incredible. Such a plan could outline how you intend to nurture and expand the relationship with Ethereum Mexico beyond the event itself. If you’ve already covered this, please point me to the relevant section, and if not you could also share this strategy as an additional post if it’s not feasible to include it in the main proposal.

Seasons Timeline: I appreciate the breakdown of your long-term roadmap into seasons (S0-S3). It provides a clear structure for your plans. However, could you point me to the specific timelines for each season?

Celatam x Celo Mexcio: I see great potential for Celo Mexico to enhance Celatam’s efforts. I see Celatam also ran their QF round and has a direct grants program, I’d be interested in seeing how Celo Mexico plans to leverage these initiatives. In future proposals, I strongly suggest including a section that clearly outlines this relationship. Highlight how you address unique local needs, and amplify Celatam’s broader regional strategies. By demonstrating this synergy, we can ensure that resources are used efficiently and that the combined efforts of Celo Mexico and Celatam maximize impact in the region without duplication. This clarity will greatly aid in evaluating the overall effectiveness of Celo’s presence in Latin America.
