For context, DeFi for the People supports project launches through the following ways:
- Grant/liquidity incentives
- Security audit by the Celo Foundation
- Usability review and testing
- Co-marketing (Medium announcement, Twitter spaces, etc.)
Updates From this Week
This week we had a few major announcements:
- Masa launched its soulbound identity protocol on Celo’s Alfajores Testnet. Learn more about it here.

- Aave community member is working on our risk methodology
- Discussing potential partnerships with African DeFi Alliance
- The Celo Foundation is excited to announce #BuildWithCelo, a global hackathon that invites value-aligned founders and builders to design and ship their best ideas on the Celo blockchain
- Hosting a happy hour with the newly formed Uniswap Foundation on Thursday, at the Celo Foundation office in SF.
