Hi Everyone,

Isha here from the Strategy, Research, and Innovation team at the Celo Foundation. Sharing this week’s update on the DeFi for the People program.

For context, DeFi for the People supports project launches through the following ways:

  1. Grant/liquidity incentives
  2. Security audit by the Celo Foundation
  3. Usability review and testing
  4. Co-marketing (Medium announcement, Twitter spaces, etc.)

Updates From this Week

This week we had a few major announcements:

  1. Toucan protocol launched on Celo last week and NCT (Nature based Carbon Tonnes) tokens are now available on Uniswap and Ubeswap
  2. Nikhil published a thought piece on DeFi’s role in Creating Regenerative economies. Read more here
  3. Nikhil hosted Twitter spaces with Cargo and Gamma on liquidity management on Uniswap. Listen here.
  4. Cargo protocol launched providing active liquidity management strategies on Uniswap v3 pools. Read more here
  5. Goodghosting launched a new Hodl savings pool for Celo. Read more here
  6. cLabs launched stCELO. Learn more about it here.
