Support for wA11y™: Accessible EDTech for Women

About the Project: What is wA11y™?

wA11y™ (short for “Women + Accessibility”) is an inclusive education platform reimagining how tech training is delivered to women — especially those often left out of opportunity:
• Women with disabilities or neurodivergence
• Immigrant women
• Single mothers
• Women of Color & Latinx
• Women in Recovery

We’re building the first accessibility-first, AI-powered learning system that adapts to the student — not the other way around. Our goal is to create prosperity through knowledge, and we believe Celo is the perfect ecosystem to grow this mission.

Our Vision: From Survival to Sovereignty
Technology offers financial freedom — but only if people can access it.
wA11y™ trains women in:

• UX Design and digital accessibility
• Web3 onboarding (wallets, NFTs, DAOs)
• Crypto literacy
• Open-source contribution

We pair education with dignity, offering scholarships, mentorship, and community support. Students learn how to build — and belong — in Web3.

What We’ve Built So Far (with no funding)
:white_check_mark: A live website
:white_check_mark: 32+ waitlisted students, including blind and neurodivergent learners
:white_check_mark: A pilot course
:white_check_mark: Multi-language support (EN, PT-BR)
:white_check_mark: Partnerships in progress
:white_check_mark: Pixel for Progress Campaign

:rocket: What’s Coming Next (With Your Support)
With funding, we’ll bring the next phase of wA11y™ to life — expanding access, deepening impact, and delivering adaptive education for women worldwide.

:white_check_mark: ALMA™ (Adaptive Learning Method for All)
Our upcoming AI-powered learning system will personalize tech education based on each student’s pace, needs, and abilities — making inclusion scalable by design.
:white_check_mark: Fully Accessible Course Content
We’ll embed WCAG 2.2-compliant features into every course: keyboard navigation, alt text, screen reader support, captions, sensory-friendly layouts — and ASL (American Sign Language) video interpretation for key lessons.
:white_check_mark: Expanded Multi-Language Support
Starting with English and Brazilian Portuguese, we will add Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, and ASL to reach more learners across the globe.

Everything built so far has been self-funded. We’re now seeking partners to help take wA11y™ to the next level.

Final Words
We’re not just building a school.
We’re building a safe bridge into Web3 for the women who’ve been left out of every system before this one.
If Web3 is truly about decentralization, then inclusion must be built-in — not bolted on.
With Celo’s help, we can make sure accessibility becomes the default, not the exception.
Let’s grow this movement — together.

Thank you for reading. I’d be honored to answer questions or co-create a next step.
