Full Node post L2 migration - Hardware Requirements

What are the specs needed to run a full Mainnet node post migration?
I want to see what SSD I need to purchase, I want to keep it as light as possible; I don’t need to have pre-migration data and I don’t want to run an archive node. I wonder if 1TB is enough or if I need 2TB or even more.

Hey @kewl!

The initial requirements will be similar to those of an L1 full node today. The current chain state is around 550GB, and, for example, it has grown by about 21GB in the last 15 days. If I had to estimate, I think 1TB would be sufficient at least during the migration, but it would depend on the activity on the chain. The growth over time after the migration would also depend on the activity. As a general recommendation, I suggest using storage solutions that can be expanded if possible. If you are using cloud environments, this is typically easier. However, if you are using on-premise infrastructure (or bare metal cloud solutions), I recommend using LVM to manage the disks. This way, if an increase is needed, it can be done more easily and, if new disks can be attached to the instance, without the need for any data migration.

Cheers!
