Busy Week in the Celo Regional Council; the ecosystem is in motion everywhere — builders, hubs, and communities are turning coordination into progress.

Led by @KaanKacar and @GulcanLayla, the Asia region continues to overdeliver. More than 300 active projects this month and strong developer communities growing in Dubai and Hanoi.
Focus remains on long-term growth: up-skilling projects, improving proposal quality, and strengthening networks in India and Turkey.

Celo Europe launched the Cirkvit Program, a DeFi Renaissance for builders across Poland, Serbia, Romania, Estonia, Finland, Germany, and beyond — with 27,000 CELO in rewards and mentorship to ship real-world MiniApps.

Momentum is high across Latin America:

  • Celo Gather : The first Celo Gather in LATAM takes place at DevConnect Buenos Aires, Nov 18th. A moment to meet, learn, and connect with Celorians from all over the world.
  • CELATAM Article : A deep dive into blended finance and impact capital in Chapada Diamantina, Bahia — tracking over BRL 18.7B in wind and solar deployment.
  • Celo Mexico : Hosting a new online Buildathon, supporting teams deploying on mainnet and onboarding new builders into Celo.
  • Celo Colombia : Running workshops with TuCop Finance at BlockSummit LA and FinHub Hackathon at EAFIT University — expanding Celo’s presence in financial innovation and DeFi education.

The region showcased two standout projects:

  • Cash — a non-custodial wallet supporting stablecoin payments and local off-ramps in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, and Nigeria.
  • HackersD — a platform hosting hackathons, currently with 200+ users and integrations with KarmaGAP and Proof of Ship for developer recognition.
