Celo Communities Guild Report - January & February 2025
GM Celorians!
January kicked off the new year with plenty of anticipation, but it was also a month of waiting and adapting. Since our H1 2025 proposal wasn’t officially approved until March 8, we had to hold off on rolling out some of our planned initiatives. That meant adjusting our focus while ensuring the Guild’s core activities remained strong.
Despite the delay, our community continued to engage across Discord, Telegram, and Reddit, proving once again that the Guild is more than just a set of programs—it’s a collective of passionate members dedicated to the Celo ecosystem.
General
Limited Operations Due to Proposal Approval Delay
Since our funding proposal for H1 2025 was still under review throughout January & February, we had to pause several planned initiatives. While this slowed down some of the momentum we built in previous months, we made sure to keep engagement steady and prepare for a strong relaunch once the proposal passed.
Five Months on Guild.xyz: Holding the Fort
January & February marked four & five months since we launched Guild.xyz, and while we couldn’t introduce new incentives, the leaderboard remained active. Many members kept participating, climbing the Celorian ranks, and earning recognition for their contributions. The community’s enthusiasm for the system, even in a low-activity month, was a promising sign for what’s ahead.
January & February Moderator Call
With things in a temporary holding pattern, our January & February moderator call (held on January 25 and February 26) focused on brainstorming improvements, adjusting to the funding delay, and ensuring that we maintained a steady level of engagement while waiting for the green light on our 2025 plans.

Final Thoughts
January & February were months of patience, adjustment, and quiet perseverance. With our funding proposal still under review, we couldn’t fully push forward with all the initiatives we had in mind, but the Guild held strong. Our moderators and community members kept discussions alive, ensuring that once we had the certainty to move forward, we’d be ready to hit the ground running.
Now that our H1 2025 proposal has officially passed, the coming months will be all about regaining momentum and launching fresh initiatives. Here’s to an exciting and impactful year ahead!
