Celo Communities Guild Reports - April 2025

GM Celorians! :sun_with_face:

April came in with momentum—and we didn’t waste a second of it. After March’s big restart, this month was all about keeping the rhythm steady and making sure the energy didn’t fade. With Guild.xyz fully back in action, the sticker contest heating up, and our connection with the Regional DAO Council becoming more structured, April delivered another strong chapter for the Celo Communities Guild.

Here’s the rundown. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:memo: General

Guild.xyz Momentum Continues

April marked our second month with the expanded reward pool—600 CELO split among the top 10 leaderboard members on Guild.xyz. If March set the stage, April confirmed the trend: more participants, more competition, and more consistent engagement. We noticed several new faces rising fast, and returning members staying active throughout the entire month.

The leaderboard is no longer dominated by the same few names—April made it clear that with the new reward structure, anyone can claim a spot if they put in the effort.

Sticker Contest Enters the Spotlight :artist_palette:

This month we officially launched the Celo Sticker Pack Contest and began accepting submissions from the community. The response has been enthusiastic, with members pitching both design ideas and themes.

We’ve seen everything from retro pixel styles to slick minimal Celo logos. Voting and judging will happen in May, but already, the creative spark has brought a fresh sense of ownership and identity into the community spaces.

April Moderator Call

The monthly mod sync took place on April 15. On the agenda: sticker contest logistics and Guild.xyz moderation improvements. The tone was optimistic, and plans were made to introduce light automation to assist with rewards verification.

April Community Hangout

We hosted 2 of our Community Hangout on April 4th & 18th, and the turnout was great. From sticker previews to a few sneak peeks at possible future quests, the call felt vibrant and organic. These hangouts continue to be one of our strongest tools for real-time feedback and connection.

Celo Communities Guild Reports - May 2025

GM Celorians! :sun_with_face:

May rolled in with that early-summer buzz—and the Celo Communities Guild kept the tempo up. With ongoing Guild.xyz activity, the close of our first sticker design contest, and continued collaboration across the ecosystem, this month was all about nurturing momentum and wrapping up key initiatives.

We stayed focused, consistent, and just the right amount of creativity. Here’s the recap. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:memo: General

Guild.xyz Keeps the Pulse Going

May marked the third month of our expanded Guild.xyz reward structure, and participation remained lively. The 600 Celo monthly reward pool continued to motivate members to stay active, contribute meaningfully, and help keep the conversation flowing across Discord.

As in previous months, we saw a healthy mix of familiar faces and new contenders on the leaderboard—proof that the format is working as a steady incentive engine, not just a one-time boost.

Sticker Contest Wraps Up :artist_palette:

After weeks of submissions, feedback, and buzz, the Celo Sticker Pack Contest officially closed in late May. The variety and creativity of the entries blew us away—everything from abstract minimalism to wild Celo-meme mashups made it into the final batch.
The sticker design contest has concluded. Judges have made their decisions, winners have been declared in the Discord server, and prizes have been distributed. We anticipate a significant enhancement to our sticker collection as a result.

May Moderator Call

We held our monthly mod call on May 21 and May 30, touching base on moderation standards, leaderboard verification workflows, and sticker contest follow-up. We also briefly discussed improving onboarding touchpoints for new users entering the Discord server via Guild.xyz links.

May Community Hangout

This month’s Community Hangout took place on May 2nd and May 30, and as usual, it offered a laid-back space to chat updates, share sticker contest favorites, and swap thoughts on Celo ecosystem happenings. With summer approaching, the vibe was easygoing and open-ended—a reminder that a community doesn’t always need a strict agenda to thrive.

2025 - June & July

GM Celorians! :sun_with_face:

The months of June and July looked a little different for the Celo Communities Guild. While our core activities continued, we were operating at minimum capacity as we awaited clarity on the renewal of our initiative for the H2 part of 2025.

Most of our energy during this time was directed behind the scenes—preparing, reviewing, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the Guild’s work could continue. Though public-facing activity slowed slightly, the intention was clear: keep the lights on and the channels clean while setting up for a strong return once our renewal was confirmed.

Here’s what we kept rolling during the quieter summer stretch. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:memo: General

Guild.xyz: Maintaining the Foundation

Even during this period of limited operations, we kept Guild.xyz running. The 600 CELO monthly reward pool was consistently distributed to the top 10 most active members, helping to maintain a baseline level of participation and community interaction.

Some months saw more action than others, but the leaderboard stayed active—and it was heartening to see some familiar faces continuing to contribute, despite the uncertainty around the Guild’s future scope.

Moderator Presence & Light Ops

Although we scaled back broader initiatives, the moderation team remained active. We continued to monitor Discord and Telegram, ensure safe and respectful communication, and answer questions from community members—especially around the status of the Guild.

A special thanks to the moderators who held the fort. Their quiet but consistent presence kept our spaces healthy and our standards intact.

Focus on Renewal Discussions

A large part of June and July was spent in conversation towards the alignment of our initiative with the Season 1 Intents and Budget.

We reviewed what had worked during the first half of the year, discussed areas for improvement, and explored how the Guild could better align with broader ecosystem goals. While not always visible to the community, this work was essential to make sure the Guild doesn’t just continue—but evolves meaningfully.

Community Hangouts

We hosted one Community Hangout in early June (June 7), but decided to pause the July edition due to lower availability and the transitional nature of our operations. The June session was smaller than usual but still valuable for collecting community feedback and keeping a shared sense of direction.

:bar_chart: Statistics

:speech_balloon: Discord

  • Member Growth: Growth slowed slightly during the summer, as expected during a transition period.

  • Message Activity: Message volume was moderate.

  • Most Active Channels: General , #support , and #governance-announc remained the most used spaces.

:mobile_phone: Telegram

  • Message Count: Conversations dipped slightly but remained consistent week to week.

  • Moderation Actions: Only a few actions were needed. The group remained respectful and on-topic.

:chart_increasing: Reddit

  • Page Views & Visitors: Subreddit traffic remained low but steady. Occasional engagement came in via broader ecosystem news.

Final Thoughts

June and July were about holding the line—keeping the Guild alive, maintaining core operations, and doing the internal work needed to move forward. These quieter months are sometimes necessary to prepare for the next phase, and that’s exactly what we focused on.

We’re looking forward to closing out the summer with a clearer direction and renewed momentum. Big things are ahead—thank you for sticking with us. :yellow_heart:

Celo Communities Guild Reports - August 2025

GM Celorians! :sun_with_face:

August marked a fresh chapter for the Celo Communities Guild. After two months of limited operations while awaiting our initiative’s renewal, this was our first full month back at full speed—and we made it count.

With activities, roles, and responsibilities falling back into place, August was all about coordination, decision-making, and laying the foundation for a revitalized second half of the year. From onboarding new leadership to setting the framework for incentives and cross-initiative alignment, the month was packed with key milestones. Let’s get into it. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:memo: General

Back in Action: Full Operations Resume

August represented our first full month of real activity since the renewal of the Communities Guild initiative for H2 2025. With the green light officially confirmed, we moved quickly to realign the team, fine-tune our internal workflows, and define our direction for the months ahead.

A major part of this involved deep coordination between moderators and stewards—both during structured calls and in daily async discussions. The goal: establish a clear operational rhythm and ensure everyone was moving in sync.

New Part-Time Moderator Selected & Onboarded

One of the most important decisions this month was the selection of our new Part-time Moderator. After careful review and consensus within the team, the selected candidate was officially onboarded and integrated into the core operations of the Guild. Huge congratulations to @skdt

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accountability, coordination, and timely execution of daily tasks.

Community Incentives Budget Finalized

We also finalized the Community Incentives Budget, which includes:

  • 800 CELO/month allocated to the top 10 leaderboard contributors on Guild.xyz.
  • 700 CELO/month for the Celo Community Stewards (at the moment ⅔ spots filled).
  • 200 CELO/month to rewards the most engaged Celorian during our Community Hangout call on Discord (held twice a month).

The remaining CELO funds were set aside for contests, quests, and giveaways coming in the next months.

This budget ensures that participation continues to be rewarding and that there are multiple ways for community members to get involved—beyond just message counts or leaderboard placements.

Celo Community Badge Joins the Prosperity Pass :shield:

One of the highlights of the month was aligning with the CeloPG team to officially integrate the Celo Community Badge into the Prosperity Pass.

This badge, issued to Guild contributors and Celorians who’ve actively supported community growth, now holds even more meaning—and more visibility—thanks to this integration. We’re deeply thankful to the @CeloPGCeloPG team for embracing this collaboration and helping us create more meaningful on-chain proof of contribution.

Moderator Sync & Coordination

The August moderator call, held on August 14th, was a key coordination moment. We used the session to align on role assignments, discuss expectations with the part-time mod, and outline the timeline for incentive rollouts and quest planning.

We also reviewed community feedback and Guild.xyz metrics from the past months to adjust for the renewed season.

August Community Hangout

We hosted our monthly Community Hangout on August 22nd, where we shared key updates—including the new budget structure and upcoming quests. The vibe was upbeat, and several contributors shared suggestions on new contest formats and ways to further amplify the Guild’s reach.

Celo Communities Guild Reports - September & October 2025

GM Celorians! :sun_with_face:

As we crossed into autumn, the Celo Communities Guild entered a phase of consistency and delivery. September and October were about keeping our foot on the gas pedal, making sure our incentive structures stayed on track, our systems stayed clean, and our community remained supported and heard.

These two months weren’t flashy, but they were solid. And in a space that often swings between highs and lulls, that kind of stable, forward-moving activity is exactly what we needed. Let’s break it down. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:memo: General

Guild.xyz: Steady Participation, Stronger Competition

With our reward structure now well-established, Guild.xyz kept humming along smoothly throughout both months. The 800 CELO monthly reward pool continued to be distributed to the top 10 most active members, and we saw the same pattern emerge in both September and October:

  • A competitive top 10, often with new names pushing into the lead
  • Consistent mid-pack contributors staying engaged week after week
  • A steady trickle of new joiners testing the waters and getting a feel for the system

It’s become clear that the leaderboard has moved beyond being a novelty, it’s now a core feature of community life for many Celorians.

Celo Community Badge: Monthly Snapshots Continue

Following the August integration of the Celo Community Badge into the Prosperity Pass, we continued collecting and organizing monthly snapshots of eligible contributors.

We’re thankful for the collaboration with the CeloPG team, who ensured the badge stayed dynamically linked to Guild.xyz participation a key signal of ongoing contribution. While exporting member data hasn’t always been seamless due to platform transitions, we are aiming to introduce again this badge soon, depending on Guild.xyz developments.

Moderator Syncs

We held our monthly moderator calls on September 11 and October 8 , using the time to:

  • Review badge + leaderboard processes.
  • Align on any user moderation issues (thankfully minimal).

These check-ins helped us stay aligned and responsive.

Community Hangouts

  • September 5, September 19 and October 3, October 17 were our Community Hangout days.
  • While not record-breaking in terms of turnout, both calls offered meaningful opportunities for open conversation, feedback on quests, and suggestions on how to better highlight long-term contributors.
  • A few new faces joined in, and we’re optimistic about growing participation again with new interactive formats in the coming months.

September and October weren’t loud, but they were meaningful. We showed up, delivered rewards, kept our channels healthy, and continued building the foundation for what comes next.

Celo Communities Guild Reports - November 2025

GM Celorians! :sun_with_face:

November brought with it a fresh layer of polish and renewed visibility for the Celo Communities Guild. While the incentive and moderation engine continued running smoothly in the background, this month was about refinement and outreach—updating how we present ourselves and actively bringing more eyes to what we’re building.

Let’s dig into the highlights. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

New Look, Same Mission: Celo Guild Rebrand on Guild.xyz

One of the most visible changes this month was the complete visual and structural refresh of our Guild.xyz page. Formerly known as “Celo Community Guild,” the new identity Celo Guild comes with a sleeker interface, a more intuitive layout, and updated graphics that better reflect the evolving vibe and direction of our community.

This redesign not only makes the experience more engaging for newcomers, but also helps us better communicate what we’re about: community contribution, consistent participation, and on-chain visibility.

X (Twitter) Thread Contest Goes Live :thread:

To celebrate the rebrand and drive new visibility to the Celo Guild on Guild.xyz, we launched a Twitter Thread Contest encouraging participants to create educational threads that explain:

  • What the Celo Guild is
  • How our Guild.xyz leaderboard works
  • How users can earn points and CELO by engaging with the community

With 800 CELO in prizes up for grabs, the goal is to generate more high-quality content about the Guild and give current and future Celorians an easier way to discover and get involved. The contest runs until mid-December and has already generated a good amount of buzz and early submissions.

Guild.xyz Incentives Continue

Our 800 CELO/month leaderboard reward continued without interruption, with the top 10 contributors being rewarded based on their EXP activity tracked through Guild.xyz. The competition remains healthy, and we continue to see a mix of returning names and fresh participants pushing into the rankings.

The system has now matured into a reliable engine for consistent participation—something we’re very proud of.

:bar_chart:Statistics

:speech_balloon: Discord

  • Member Growth: The rebrand helped spark a new wave of interest, with a small but noticeable uptick in new member joins in the second half of the month

  • Message Activity: Steady and balanced, with most engagement centered around leaderboard updates, contest promotion, and ongoing help in #support

:mobile_phone: Telegram

As usual, Reddit served more as a static resource and link-out destination than an active discussion hub.

Final Thoughts

The combination of the Guild.xyz rebrand and the X thread contest brought new energy to the ecosystem-facing side of our work, while the incentives and badge snapshots kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

With December around the corner, we’re getting ready to close the year strong, with the contest winners. Let’s finish strong. :flexed_biceps:

2025 – December

GM Celorians!

December was a month of strong engagement and forward-looking planning for the Celo Guild. While the year came to a close, activity across our channels remained consistent, and much of our focus shifted toward wrapping up key initiatives and preparing the groundwork for what comes next.

Here’s a recap of the month. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:memo: General

X (Twitter) Thread Contest Wrap-Up :thread:

Throughout December, we continued running the X thread contest aimed at increasing visibility for the Celo Guild on Guild.xyz. The initiative proved highly successful, generating a large number of high-quality submissions from across the community.

Participants created educational and promotional threads explaining the Guild, how to join, and how to earn points and rewards through consistent contribution. The volume and quality of submissions confirmed both strong community interest and the effectiveness of content-driven outreach as a growth lever.

The contest concluded toward the end of the month, with final reviews and winner announcements scheduled shortly after.

Season 2 Proposal in Progress

In parallel with ongoing activities, we began drafting the Celo Guild Season 2 proposal. This work focused on reviewing lessons learned from the current season, refining incentive structures, and identifying areas where processes and tooling can be further improved.

We plan to share more details with the community soon and involve contributors in the discussion before moving into the next phase.

Guild.xyz Incentives & Operations

The 800 CELO monthly leaderboard rewards continued as planned, with the top 10 contributors recognized for their activity and impact. Moderation and verification workflows remained stable, allowing the team to focus on strategic planning without disrupting day-to-day operations.

Moderator Sync & Community Touchpoints

  • The December moderator call centered on contest wrap-up, end-of-year processes, and early alignment on Season 2 priorities
  • Community engagement remained steady across Discord and Telegram, even during the holiday period

Final Thoughts

December served as both a strong close to the year and a transition point. The success of the X thread contest demonstrated the community’s willingness to actively advocate for the Celo Guild, while early work on the Season 2 proposal ensured we are entering the next phase with clarity and intention.

As we move into the new year, our focus remains on building sustainable, community-led initiatives and continuing to reward meaningful participation across the Celo ecosystem.
