As we step into the Third Month , it’s time to reflect on our journey so far and celebrate the progress we’ve made. Building on our initial momentum, we have continued to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
With the support of prezenti grants and its team @MayaRB @Wade for believing in us, we have been able to accomplish alot within the past three months.
Key Achievements
- EXCHANGE PROPGRAM
— With our new exchange program which mean collection of plastics in replace of rewards was a success. The test phase allowed us to open 2 new location. This new locations were able to generate 100kg of plastics in less than 25DAYS.
— Once we can start opening in other location (10) with the funds left we will be on the verge of collecting over 1 TONNES of plastic waste, a 200% increase from the previous month.
- VALIDATOR/AGENT SYTEM
— With our validators/agents set up at the two exchange drop off point we are poised to adequately cater for the collection through our MiniPay Dapp. The agents/validators are young and energetic youth through which we aim to empower and educate the communties at large.
- DROP-OFF FEATURE
This feature which we just implemented will allow users to drop off plastic waste to the nearby agent/validator. After dropping off the plastic waste they get their reward instatntly into their wallet through minipay.

— Our posts reached approximately 20,000 people, spreading the message of sustainability further.
Challenges Faced
While we celebrate our achievements, Month 2 and 3 also presented challenges:
- Logistical Issues: We faced delays in waste processing due to a shortage of facilities, affecting our collection schedule.
- Community Engagement: Some neighborhoods were harder to reach, highlighting the need for tailored outreach strategies.
- Infrastructural Issues: Setting up the adequate infrstructure is demanding and cost consuming, but partnerships has made us better and reduce the barriers such as storage bags, weighing scales etc…
- Effective Team: Getting the right individuals and right team that understands the concept of recycling, whereby they can understand what exactly we are building and navigate through the whole step. This will allow them to accepted feedback easily and translate into a smooth and easy to use product.
