A new proposal is on the way that aims to increase the block gas limit to 50M from the previous limit of 32M gas.
Why this change? We want to continue improving the blockchain to account for higher throughput and therefore raise the gas limit to get to a higher TPS, based on the testing done in preparation for the 32M gas limit.
The cLabs Blockchain team has already done their due diligence and conducted load testing and stability testing to confirm readiness for this current change of 50M gas. With the success of the recent upgrades, we are ready to make this move!
