Prezenti AI Builder Sponsorships (Trial): five builders, four months, $7,000
Prezenti is opening a four-month AI Builder Sponsorships trial for five
high-agency builders. The purpose is simple: find strong blockchain and
agent-infrastructure builders who are not already circulating through the usual
Celo funding networks, remove a practical tooling barrier, and give them a
focused route to ship useful work on Celo.
The trial uses $7,000 already held by Prezenti, so this is not a new treasury
request. Each selected builder can receive up to $1,400 across four months:
- Claude Max 20x, up to $200 per month;
- ChatGPT Pro 5x, up to $100 per month; and
- a $200 flexible allowance across the term.
Support is reimbursed monthly against receipts. We will first help eligible
finalists apply for vendor-funded open-source access; any free subscription or
unused amount reduces programme spending and returns to the Strategic Reserve
rather than increasing an individual’s allowance.
Who this is for
We are looking for individual builders with strong public evidence of shipping
original technical work, especially people for whom the cost of top-tier AI
coding tools is a genuine access barrier. Existing Celo history is welcome but
not required. A credible four-month plan must include a Celo mainnet deployment,
integration, or material ecosystem contribution.
Candidates can apply directly, and Prezenti will also source builders
proactively through public GitHub work and Celo regional scouts.
How selection works
Applications are evaluated with Prezenti’s published, open-source talent engine.
It reviews the previous six months of public GitHub work using a 100-point
technical rubric: shipped original work (40), sustained cadence (20), external
validation (10), collaboration and review (5), blockchain ecosystem footprint
(10), and emerging agent-protocol signal (15).
Stars, followers, credentials, raw commit totals, referrals, and the proposed
build plan do not receive technical points. The score produces an
evidence-linked shortlist; it does not make the funding decision. Prezenti
stewards make the final selection after verifying the underlying work, the
access barrier, authenticity and account relationships, conflicts, the
four-month plan, and Celo fit. Applicants receive their score and evidence, and
unsuccessful applicants receive specific feedback.
What selected builders commit to
The subscriptions are personal and tied to the selected builder’s named GitHub
identity. Builders provide monthly receipts, remain active on the sponsored
work, and post one public build update each month. Thirty days without
qualifying activity triggers a review and a seven-day opportunity to provide
evidence or explain an interruption. Continued support for months three and four
requires a verifiable Celo mainnet deployment, integration, or material
ecosystem contribution by the month-two checkpoint.
Each builder also makes a public, good-faith 2% give-back pledge covering the
sponsored product’s Celo revenue and grant, prize, or retro-funding income won
with the sponsored work. The pledge runs to Prezenti and to nobody else.
Prezenti separately and publicly commits to routing half of whatever it receives
onward to the Celo Community Fund — equivalent to 1% of covered income. That
onward commitment is Prezenti’s to keep and to be judged on; it is not a second
obligation on the builder.
The commitment is capped at $14,000, expires 36 months after the sponsorship
term, and is pro-rated if the builder receives fewer than four months of
support. It is reputational, not equity, a token warrant, or an investment
agreement.
Builders keep all IP and equity, take on no exclusivity, and may withdraw
without penalty. Prezenti will provide a public record of backing and
introductions on request. If a sponsored project later raises a round, Prezenti
asks only for a 14-day right of first offer—a chance to be offered
participation, not an obligation to accept investment.
Builders will submit a monthly forum update in a forum post thread Prezenti creates
What we will report
At the end of the trial, Prezenti will publish the full funnel from scouting
through deployment, verified Celo outcomes, external usage or revenue signals,
monthly-update compliance, recipient activity at the end of month four, and all
subscription offsets or unused funds returned to the Reserve.
Places are filled as builders are selected. Applications close when the fifth
place is filled, or on 29 December 2026, whichever comes first.
