Thanks for pro-actively rescoping the proposal. Given the positive engagement so far (and the events already hosted in Colombia which looked great) I will vote YES on this proposal.
I do want to note that:
I think it’s essential to work closely with Celatam, there are a lot of positive synergies to explore here!
Can you clarify the ownership of the USD 10,000 used for liquidity? I believe this should remain owned by the Celo Community Treasury (and would be returned if Celo Colombia ever stops operation).
We already had a call with @cristpereirag and @Marcelo last week for this proposal. And we arrange to start addressing and thinking about next year plan, this year is almost over for them.
Initially the liquidity will be provided to Uniswap by Celo Colombia Multisign, and for sure if Celo Colombia stops operations before that we will remove that liquidity. Also the LP tokens that you get when you provide liquidity to Uniswap can be transferred, so also happy to transfer them to Commufund but not sure about technical details. Let’s leave this for a discussion later, but for sure happy to make feel community confident about those funds.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who voted, supported, and believed in the Celo Colombia proposal. Your confidence in our vision inspires us to build a stronger, more inclusive Celo community in Colombia.
This is not just our success – it’s our collective journey toward empowering local communities, fostering innovation, and driving the adoption of $cCOP as a vital tool for financial inclusion and sustainable development.
Together, we’ll: Grow the Celo ecosystem in Colombia Build strong partnerships for $cCOP adoption Educate and engage communities across the country
Thank you for joining us in this mission! Let’s keep the momentum going and make a lasting impact.
