Itās been a while since Iāve been exploring the best way to get involved with this amazing community, and Iām happy to have finally found it.
My name is CauĆŖ, and Iām from SĆ£o Paulo, Brazil. Iām an agroecologist with experience in research and development of community-driven products, web3 business development, and providing technical assistance to rural communities, with a focus on data collection and rural development.
Currently, Iām the founder of Greenpill Brasil, the business lead of the Greenpill Dev Guild, and the product owner of the Green Goods project, which weāre developing on the Arbitrum network through the Greenpill Dev Guild. Additionally, Iām a researcher and consultant on the TreeKipedia project, developed in collaboration with Silvi Protocol.
I first came across the Celo network through the Gitcoin platform, and since then, Iāve become increasingly aligned with its visionāespecially its focus on emerging markets, mobile accessibility (which resonates with us as we focus on PWAs), social and financial inclusion. Itās awesome to see Celo stands out as the only layer-1 network with a primary strategy centered on building a new economy backed by real-world assets. I admire the work being done with communities in Kenya and hope to contribute by bringing Brazilian initiatives Iām involved ināmany of which are outside web3 but share the mission of driving prosperity. I aim to create a clear path for these initiatives to engage, organize, and drive change using Celoās technology.
I firmly believe that if we want to achieve mass adoption, we need to develop solutions where people already areāon the platforms and devices they use daily, which are often outside the web3 tech bubble.
Iām excited to be part of this innovative community and look forward to contributing to its growth and success!
Hello, my (our) name is Canvassing, and weāre the winners of the Build with Celo 7 Hackathon. Weāre from Nairobi, Kenya, and we are building a paid online survey that rewards participants in stablecoins.
We are a team of freelancers who have been trying to make a living off of the Internet for about 4 years now. We are product-people - a designer and an engineer. We love good UX, and we are interested in building Web3 products.
We love Celo because it is scalable - which is ideal for dApps, and we canāt wait to interact with different posts here.
Iāve been a fan of Celo since discovering it through Gitcoin grants. After researching the vision Iām sure that Celo is forging a sustainable path to a better world. Iād like to contribute to that effort.
In January of this year I got involved with Greenpill Network, joined the Dev Guild, and now Iāve become a Business Development co-lead. Together with my associates weāre working to foster an equitable society of shared prosperity as well.
Iām cofounder of ChaĆ®ne Research. a non-profit org that develops software for climate action. Weāre a team of two who have built proof-of-concept projects for Web3 document storage, indexing, extraction, and streaming data. Recently weāve been contributing to āAn ontology for anthropogenic impact accountingā, a Hyperledger project under the auspices of the Linux Foundation.
As Iāve been a cofounder before, I always point out that Iām not a developer but a manager type. With that experience I can wear a lotta hats.
Iām excited to build more within the Celo ecosystem going into 2025 as a Steward of the Greenpill Network and Dev Guild, especially within the Regen Coordination movement which I believe can propel the regen space by coordinating the impactful projects, protocols and more being worked in isolation within respective regen communities with Celo being the bedrock for development.
A little about me Iām a huge history hound and enjoy documentaries alongside fantasy/comics/etc (X-Men 97 best animated show of 2025), making music with Ableton and getting into shenanigans with my dog Gigi.

My name is Evan and Iām excited to be here with you all, at the dawn of the Regenaissance.
Despite all the chaos and uncertainty in the world, I often marvel at how lucky we are to have been born at one of the most interesting and complex times in history, and I strongly believe that we in the Web3 impact space are right at the heart of the story- planting seeds that have the potential to make a huge positive impact in the lives of billions of people on this planet, especially the people who have been marginalized and left out of the current system.
Iām a big fan of Celo because out of all the blockchains, it appears to be one of the most aligned with my own values, consistently prioritizing impact and accessibility, using this technology to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people who arenāt Web3 natives. I am particularly impressed by Celoās stable of impact-related projects, as a big fan of GainForest, Grassroots Economics, Silvi, EthicHub, and others.
I founded an impact Web3 project of my own, Center for Collaborative Economics, dedicated to facilitating crypto donations to nonprofits and mutual aid organizations, helping them tell the story of the impact they create, and using blockchainās transparency to directly connect donors with the impact of their donations.
I also run a nonprofit providing direct public health and social services to people who use drugs, Dubuque Harm Reduction, which has provided valuable insight into the legacy nonprofit and philanthropic system and inspiration on how Web3 can help improve it.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to working with you all!
Hello! My name is Gabriel Nunes, I am Science Lead at GainForest and I represent the Indigenous Data Coalition from the Amazon. I am located in Manaus (Capital of the Amazonas state - the biggest state in the Brazilian Amazon) but youāll find me between different regions of the Amazon depending on the time of the year.
I am passionate about how cutting-edge technologies such as web3, crypto and DeFi can be used to change paradigms in grassroots communities such as mine. I am excited to join the Celo community because of Celoās accessibility and focus on empowering grassroots communities.
I hope to contribute to the evolution of the Celo community by sharing the perspective of local communities, which is often missing from web3 technologies.
I am Marie-Claire (you can call me MC) and I am new here on Celo and in the web3 space. I am Swiss-Hungarian, based in Geneva & Zurich (text me if you pass by Switzerland) and traveling a lot for work. I am working in the world of multilateral environmental governance & negotiations through the Youth Negotiators Academy.
My main curiosity and purpose for now on Celo is to explore how Celo and the web3 community at large drive nature and climate action together with communities. Additionally I am interested in the DeSci movement yet rather from a wholistic, accessible and participatory science perspective.
So far I found Celo aligned best with my values and purpose and therefore I am aiming to get engaged and share my thoughts, connections and knowledge. For now I am mostly engaged in the governance related matters and recently became a Celo delegate (just voted for the first time yaai ).
Together with GainForest and @ddd we developed Polly, an generative AI-powered assistant to enable young negotiators, particularly from the Global Majority, during multilateral climate negotiations. Designed through interviews with negotiators from Liberia, Paraguay, Indonesia, and other countries, Polly provides real-time translations, demystifies complex policy jargon, and offers updates to help users navigate discussions effectively. By assisting in drafting speeches and interventions, it addresses language barriers and resource gaps that often marginalize smaller delegations. Pollyās importance lies in amplifying underrepresented voices, enabling equitable participation in global climate policymaking, and fostering inclusive democracy by ensuring diverse perspectives shape critical environmental decisions. Taina, another AI assistant developed by the same institutes, is going one step further. Taina is being co-created with Indigenous Peoples with the aim of bridging traditional wisdom and modern decision-making. Polly has a sister, Taina allows local and Indigenous communities to share their stories and knowledge in their own language through an interactive chatbot. With the consent of these communities, Taina captures and conveys their invaluable insights to COP decision-makers, guaranteeing that insights from every corner of the world ā no matter how remote ā contribute to shaping global decisions. Taina is currently being piloted with the Satere-Mawe, Tikuna, and Munduruku Peoples in Brazil as well as with riverside communities in the Philippines, combining traditional lore and global environmental strategy. You can read more about it here in this article by @ddd
I am sure the pioneering work of the AI assistances can support certain projects in the Celo universe too. Therefore I am excited to connect and curious to hear more about grassroots-community-led real world applications for improved environmental and social impact.
