Our Delegate Intro:
Boiler Blockchain is the foremost Web3 organization at Purdue University. We have over 30 active members from research and consulting to technical development. The organization is comprised mostly of CS, ECE, Data Science, and Business students seeking the opportunity to gain exposure to the blockchain industry. Through the generosity of A16Z Boiler Blockchain’s governance journey began with delegations for dYdX and Optimism respectively. Since then, we have added both Stader Labs and Origin protocol, with Celo pending.
Core Values:
Our primary value as a delegate is to ensure safety and act as a failsafe for potentially malicious actors. We believe it is pertinent for delegates to be engaged and cognizant of proposals that threaten the livelihood of both the protocol team and community members. Secondly, we work to align our votes with what we believe benefits the community most and reflects community sentiment. As delegates, we must act as an extension of the community as they are what truly makes a project. Finally, we work to push decentralization and protocol longevity. We firmly believe that for protocols to weather the long-term future in this industry they must adopt decentralization to the highest order. This will not be a singularity where centralization mechanisms are instantly phased out but rather a gradual investment that eventually dissipates mechanisms that hold back full decentralization.
By delegating to Boiler Blockchain, you acknowledge that we are not liable for any potential losses or volatility generated from our involvement in the delegation process.
