Hey CeloMexico,
I see your proposal and congratulate you for the things accomplished so far with so limited funding.
I’d like to become part of the Celo Mx team. My resources, reputation, and experience will be of great value to expand the Celo ethos in Mx.
I see the budget of Celo Mexico can be structured to fit more people in the team that could add diversity, experience, and resources.
As a Mexican, I really support the launch of cMXN and I appreciate you have made the proposal. The remittances market is a huge one and having it happening in Celo is a great idea.
I have great context on the emergence of cCOP. I supported the initiative both in the forum and in Twitter. I was one of the first four holders and one of the top holders in $ value of cCOP. I have participated in activations of cCOP both online and on the ground directly in Colombia.
I can add value to Celo Mexico due to my experience as a tester of cCOP DeFi solutions, onboarding experience, and eGovernance knowledge.
That said, we can contact the @CeloColombiano community to ask them for advice in making the cMXN reality. I know they will support a brother country in expanding sovereignty in financial assets and infrastructure decentralization.
Additionally, I suggest that instead of using budget for outside events that do not impact key metrics in Mx we use it in here. For example, we could make use of the SolarPunk bus to carry out events locally in Mx, onboard builders, universities, entrepreneurs, and demo the use of cMXN and the unique application layer of Celo.
Last remark, I know this is a last minute post and request, but Mexico is a large country that requires a larger team that works on the ground and that can reach several cities to truly leverage the potential of our country in making impact.
I’d like to add value to Celo Mexico in making the cMXN a reality and in achieving impact metrics in our country.
