**Introduction**

GM Celorians, this is Joan\_drb.

Following the example of other delegates, I’m posting here to share my vision for the Celo ecosystem in the years ahead.

I’ve been actively involved with Celo for the past three years.

My journey as a builder in the crypto ecosystem started back in 2020 when I founded a [small DeFi investment fund](https://thecryptocluster.com/) in Barcelona. During the early bear markets, while searching for safe investments, I discovered the fixed-income opportunities provided by ReFi protocols, what we now refer to as **RWA Lending**.

After investing as a lender on **[EthicHub](https://www.ethichub.com/es)**, I joined the team as Head of Growth, where I developed a deep passion for using blockchain technology to create fair and sustainable business models. Along with other partners, I promoted the idea of having the protocol become more involved with the Celo ecosystem, launching several vaults on Celo.

Two years ago, along with other well-known players in the Celo ecosystem, we co-founded **[Celo EU](https://www.celodao.eu/)**, where I continue to support the community’s growth through research, business development, content creation and both physical and digital events.

Regarding the **Impact** ecosystem, I’ve also contributed to **[Impact+](https://impact-plus.io/)**, helping organize events and developing various initiatives that connect web3 with Impact.

Over time, as I’ve learned and listened to the community, I’ve become increasingly involved with Celo and gained a deeper understanding of its potential and ethos.

**Motivation**

My primary motivation is to help **Celo** become a global leader in building a decentralized, fair, and sustainable digital economy. I believe that Celo’s mission to create conditions of prosperity for all aligns closely with my personal goals of driving positive change through blockchain.

**Goals and Vision**

My vision is for Celo to grow as a key player in **real-world adoption** , bridging the gap between western economies, decentralized technology and emerging markets.

- Launch scalable **RWA lending** solutions in underserved regions.
- Build sustainable financial models, such as decentralized **debt funds** that generate long-term value for Celo.
- Strengthen Celo’s presence in Europe through the **Celo EU** initiative and develop impactful partnerships with local and global organizations.
- Ensure that the value generated within Celo’s ecosystem is reinvested in community-focused projects, promoting sustainable growth and impact.
