Following the insights gathered during **[Governance Call #59 (February 6th)](https://forum.celo.org/t/celo-governance-call-59-february-6th-2025)** especially from @LauNaMu and @annaalexa, we’re adjusting our **community rewards budget** to foster **greater inclusivity and structured contribution pathways** for new and existing members. Key updates: - Increasing the **community rewards budget from 3,000 to 5,000 CELO** to enhance engagement and participation. - **600 CELO per month** will be allocated for **Guild.xyz contributions** , ensuring active members receive recognition. - **1,400 CELO** set aside for **contests, quests, and giveaways** , incentivizing meaningful contributions. This expansion supports a **clearer contribution path** for community members, aligning with feedback about **rewarding engagement, retroactive contributions, and structured growth opportunities** within the Celo ecosystem. Additionally, we are working towards **establishing better-defined KPIs, tracking engagement metrics, and exploring retroactive reward structures** to ensure sustainability and fairness in contributor compensation.
