Hi @MontyMerlin - great question. Yes, the last 2 rounds were carried out on Charmverse and so the data can be found here.
If we are successful in getting season 0 funding (please vote for us today/tomorrow) then drop us a line at [email protected] and we can chat more about exploring ideas for sure!
Thanks for starting this conversation again. I think Denver was an incredible opportunity to connect and identify potential synergies between Celo ecosystem players and stakeholders, such as the one discussed between Celo EU<>CPG
That said, I’d like to take this opportunity to open the door for further discussions and collaboration with the @Prezenti.grants team.
A lot has happened in the past two months regarding Regional DAOs and our collective efforts to strengthen the ecosystem. That’s why I’d like to continue exploring how the Regional Council and the Regional DAOs can support and enhance the Prezenti Grants Program.
One key observation is that some Regional DAOs are now planning to distribute grants for specific projects and activities. Charmverse tools have already been integrated to facilitate accountability, transparency, and asset allocation*,which aligns with what Monty previously mentioned about tracking outcomes more effectively. Ensuring proper tracking of grant distribution and its impact would allow us, as an ecosystem, to gain deeper insights into the results of our initiatives and how we can improve them.
Additionally, I see an opportunity for stronger coordination between Prezenti<>CPC<> and the Regional DAOs to optimize funding efforts. For example:
Grant alignment: Ensuring we are not duplicating efforts but rather complementing each other’s focus areas.
Pipeline building: Regional DAOs have a direct connection with builders in local communities, which could help in identifying and onboarding high-potential projects into the Prezenti grant program.
Post-grant support: As discussed with other ecosystem stakeholders, supporting projects beyond their initial grant phase is crucial. Whether it’s through investment opportunities, mentorship, or additional funding mechanisms, a more structured approach could ensure long-term sustainability.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and working together to make the grant distribution process even more impactful.
Thanks for adding to the conversation! We fully agree that Prezenti <> CPG <> Regional Council should work together. We have been in discussions for a long time with some of the regional DAO’s and often lean on them for support in their relevant regions. With the more formalized cohesion of the DAO’s, it makes more sense than ever. The DAO’s act as an important funnel and many of the previous/current Prezenti grantees have touched one of the DAO’s in one way or another prior to receiving their grants.
We have been using Charmverse for our most recent round thanks to @MontyMerlin suggestion and think its great to have the other grants in the ecosystem using this tool. The less segregation, the better. This way any prospective grantee knows exactly where to look, the timeline and whats currently available.
The time is now to start these conversations as we lean into the Seasons initiative in H2.
Hey @Prezenti.grants, just a heads up the wallet address @MayaRB disclosed here doesn’t match the one listed in the Multisig listed in the proposal. Could you clarify?
Celo Colombia supports Prezenti’s work and its commitment to the growth of the Celo ecosystem. We believe that the continuity of its grant program is key to fostering innovation and supporting project development within our community.
Additionally, we see great value in deeper collaboration between Prezenti and regional organizations to uncover and strengthen high-impact local initiatives. We would love to be considered and have our input taken into account when evaluating Colombian-origin projects applying for these grants. We believe this collaborative approach can help identify synergies, share best practices, and amplify the impact of solutions that drive Celo’s adoption across different regions.
We look forward to continuing to work together to build a more inclusive and vibrant ecosystem.
Thanks @CeloColombiano for your thoughtful words, We have started discussions with Regional Hub on how we can better engage and synergise with the regional teams, so watch this space!
